Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who started her career through innovative raps which addressed gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came via trumpet. Later, she began traditional and hip-hop training. In college, she studied journalism and women's studies. In addition, she spent some time learning Mandarin in Beijing. It wasn't until after graduating when she decided to turn her attention on music. My Vag, her My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick, became a huge hit across the Internet and was later featured on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. Other viral hits included the queef track and the eye-catching NYC Bitchecity tour. The final track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide which was published in 2015. A musician and author was in her portfolio, she decided to began looking for an actor for a third venture. She's appeared in movies including Neighbors 2, Storks, and Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role in 2018 with a few movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
