Sara Eisen

SaraSara Aliza Eisen, an American television journalist, is currently a part with CNBC. She serves as co-anchor on the channel's shows 'Squawkon the Street', and Closing Bell'. She is an Ohio native, and was not keen on markets or currencies while in college. While studying at New York University she interned for ForexTV.com. There she had her first encounter working with business news. Then, she graduated with an advanced degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. After that, she was able to complete a four month-long internship at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. When she returned to the US in the fall, she was able to work at Bloomberg's office in New York. She eventually became a TV anchor. CNBC hired her as a correspondent in December 2013. Before she was hired as a correspondent on 'Closing Bell', she was co-anchoring 'Worldwide Exchange' and 'Power Lunch'. Eisen has been the co-anchor of 'Squawk on the Street' since 2014. Her primary focus since the time she joined CNBC is global consumer news.
