Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22, 1975)[1] is an American actor and director. She is also a talk show host, and author. She is part of the Barrymore actor family. She has won a variety of nominations and awards including the Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and an Screen Actors Guild Award. She was also nominated for seven Emmy Awards and a British Academy Film Award. In 2004, she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her role as the breakout star in E.T. made her a famous actor for children. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a turbulent early life that was rife with alcohol and drug abuse, she published Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. She appeared in a number of films that were successful in the 1990s and 2000s, including Charlie's Angels, Never Been Kissed, Poison Ivy, Boys on the Side, Mad Love, Batman Forever, Scream and Ever After. Barrymore appeared together with Adam Sandler in three films The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended. Other films she has appeared in include Firestarter, Donnie Darko, Riding in Cars with Boys, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Fever Pitch, Music and Lyrics, Going the Distance, Big Miracle, and Miss You Already. She also starred in her directorial debut film Whip It. She was awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award and an Golden Globe Award for her part in Grey Gardens. She is currently the host of The Drew Barrymore Show, her syndicated talk show.
